At least last night I was able to watch the election results come in with a few of my residents. They were happy. I was pleased, though I suspect for different reasons because right after Senator Obama was declared the winner all I could hear from them, from the windows and passing cars was Young Jeezy's "My President is Black." I...uh...that's not really my style.
Anyway, I'm glad the residents are happy. And I'm sort of glad that the worse thing I can say about this job is that it's gotten rather routine. This is a position where anything can happen. It's a position where the unimaginable has happened, and as long as it's routine it means that I'm doing something right. Kind of.
